CONDITIONS OPTIMAL
- THE CLIMATE
- The climate is of the Mediterranean type with long, hot and very sunny summers where life is good. The sharp climatic border of the Mediterranean South is about twenty kilometers to the north.
- FLOOR
- The soils of the region result from the sedimentary formations of the Early Quaternary and Miocene. Most of the area is made up of marly clay. The soils are sometimes very stony, quite typical of this part of the Côtes du Rhône appellation.
- THE WATER
- The presence of abundant water in the subsoil is an advantage in a region where shortages are frequent.
- THE AVERAGE PH
- The average pH is close to neutral: 7.3.
LOCATION
The Château La Borie estate is located in the south of the Drôme department, about ten kilometers from the left bank of the Rhône, between Saint Paul les Trois Châteaux to the north and Suze-la-Rousse to the south. The estate is located in the southern part of the Rhône Valley, a region with an ancient wine-growing tradition dating back to the Roman occupation.
Geographically, Château La Borie, near Suze, is located in Drôme Provençale.

CONDITIONS OPTIMAL
A continuous planting effort has been carried out since the beginning with a slight increase in the last 10 years. This has the effect of ensuring consistent production while maintaining high quality.
