The property is typical of the mediterranean area.

Around the vines area the relief is made of vales and hills with woods. The château is built on one of the hills.
 

The climate is Mediterranean with long sunny and hot summers. This makes life in the area very nice. The north boundary of the climate is at 20 kilometers from here.

The domain is 272 acres big with 175 acres vineyards :
89 acres of Côtes du Rhône,
82 acres of Côtes du Rhône Villages,
and 5 acres of vin de Pays.
 
Ground is mostly clay and rocks. 
PH is 7.3 near neutrality. And there is plenty of water in the subsoil.

New vines are planted regularly having in mind the search of the best balance between quality and quantity.
 

Varietals

Two varietals represent 87% of the vineyards :
Grenache for tannin alcohol and to give body to the wine;
Syrah for color and specificity.
During year 2000 8 acres of Mourvèdre have been planted to add an aromatic touch. Rendez-vous with the vintage 2003 tasting.

Palissage of the vineyards planted last year (2.59 acres of Syrah plus 2.47 acres of Grenache) .
First preventive treatment to fight against the excoriose.

March 2002
Plantation of 3.28 acres of Grenache. 

November 2001 till march 2002
Pruning period.

October 2001
Uprooting of a plot of land of 2.47 acres of Syrah that were 35 years old.
The organic manure is brought before winter on the whole plot of land.
A general ploughing is realized to bury the manure.
Feet that died the year before are extracted and burned to avoid any possible contagion.
