| The
cellar, wines and rewards
In 1963 Emile was 45 years
old and had already a lot of experience acquired in Algeria.
He knows how to model his ground but he now also wants to
shape the wine. From 1963, he builds the cellar. A cellar of
4 000 hectoliters. Emile is the winemaker of it and in
period of grape harvests he spends there all the nights,
sleeping, sometimes nor more than 4 to 5 hours on a bad
deckchair. In 1968,he will begin an increase of the cellar
which will practically double it
capacity. |

Every year numerous medals come to reward the efforts of a
whole team, because Emile did not make all this alone. He had
the merit to surround himself with devoted co-workers: Michel
Medina, François Garcia, Louis Rochedy, Gerard Piolet and so
many others. This team surpassed itself because Emile
transmitted to them, his knowledge his passion for the wine
and his taste for the very well done pieces of work. One can
say that the Chateau La Borie became in 25 years an
experimental exploitation of the region. Delegations of
everywhere will come to visit mister Emile Bories's
realizations, to study the methods and very often to ask for
advices. Chateau La Borie even received in 1968 a Russian
delegation.
