It is in
1963 that the Chateau La Borie sees the arrival of the
actual owners accompanied by the one that will make it what
it is today, Emile Bories.
In June, 1963, Emile Bories and his cousin Leon, on one
hand, Paul, Robert and Jacques Margnat on the other hand
purchase the Chateau La Borie and the 77 acres of vineyards
on a total of 272 acres for the property in its whole. The
seller is Mister Robert Lloret who had acquired the domain
in 1952.
The 1st year Emile goes up to the purpose, he extracts 42 of
the 77 acres, for the beginning. 17 years will be needed to
arrive in 1980 at the current configuration of 272 acres in
production. It was made possible by the development of 99
acres of vines and a wild determination to succeed.
